The Town house Bawtry
Here is a blog about a venue and interior shoot I did for the Town House in Bawtry. I also photographed some of their food too and it looked amazing. The Town House in Bawtry Doncaster is situated around 20 minutes drive from Doncaster town centre. Bawtry is a thriving town in Doncaster and is always very vibrant and full of great businesses to visit.
On arriving I was surprised how big the building was. It looks great and really stands out among the other businesses in Bawtry. When I walked in I was greeted by Emma who I have done a lot of work for before and also the owners of the Townhouse. There are some great features in this bar like bright colours and stunning furniture too. Also, you are able to eat outside in the summer months as there is plenty of seating available outside. I had a little walk round to get a feel for the place and was instantly taken back by the vibrant colours and fixtures and fittings that had been used. There are not many places in Doncaster that stand out as this restaurant does.
Food at the townhouse
Firstly I wanted to photograph the food as it was still pretty light outside and I wanted it to get a bit darker so that you could see the ambient light inside. I set up all of my equipment and camera on one of the tables and waited for the food to come out. The first dish that came out was a chicken burger with chips and coleslaw. I’ve got to say it looked amazing and smelt so nice. I worked my way through the food dishes and was very happy with the shots I had taken of the food dishes. You could see the attention to detail the chefs had put into there dishes, every single meal looked great.
Here are some of my favourite photos of some of the dishes I photographed.
After I had finished photographing the food I started taking shots of the venue itself. I started on the interior first as I usually do unless it’s due to rain. There are a few different rooms for you to relax in if you are just wanting to relax and have a drink or a great restaurant for dining in too. The finishing touches on the fixtures and fittings are really nice and do make a stand in terms of design in this place.
If you look closely on some of my photos you can see they even have bowler hats above the bar as lampshades which I thought was a great touch. While walking around you keep noticing new little things all the time which gives it its quirky feel.
Here are a few photos from inside the restaurant.
